The yellow tang is a common sight around the Hawaiian waters. Also well known as a popular aquarium fish, Yellow Tangs belong to the family Acanthuridae like the surgeonfishes and unicornfishes. With their bright yellow colors, they are hard to miss.
Being algae eaters, they are often associated with the "turtle cleaning stations" where the fish pick off algae from the shell of the turtle.
